The inaugural documentary festival for the long-standing Los Angeles Film Festival taking place on Jan.31 to Feb.1 at Loyola Marymount University, was a huge success. A diverse array of films was submitted spanning investigative journalism, personal essays, social-issue exposés, environmental stories and experimental works that pushed boundaries and kept audiences engaged.
Thank you to festival director Aris Katopodis and festival manager Dimitra Kasdagli for giving me the opportunity to be a member of the jury, along with these esteemed colleagues.
